Project Description:::

Here only the allowed employees can login and have conference with other allowed employees and individual conclusion is made.

It is having mainly two modules. One is at Administration Level and other one is of Employees. It maintains authentication in order to access the application. Administrator task includes Employee Registration i.e., new employee recruitment will take place. New and information about company can access employee.

The Complaints which are given by employees will be referred by authorities. Issues will put in front of related employees to get proper solutions. For selecting higher force elections will be conducted.

The user module includes reading, checking notice and displayed issues. Employees can register complaint against management. Every employee can participate in the elections. Nominees can put their promise on net through canvas module. Results will be display for every issue. On any issue an employee can work only for once. It generates all the related validations.

This project deals with the Secure Sockets Layer Protocol. Today, we rely heavily on the Internet for electronic data transfer, financial transactions, communication, and information retrieval and so on. Be it the success and smooth operation of a business enterprise or the convenience of the general public, the Internet has become the answer for many of our needs. But any breach in the confidentiality and integrity of the data transferred over the Internet can nullify the advantages offered and cause great loss and inconvenience to the user. Thus, the growing use of Internet necessitates the development of a protocol that would make ‘secure and reliable transfer of data’ possible and at the same time, would be flexible enough to incorporate changes as the need arises. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is one such protocol that has gained widespread popularity because of its various attractions like efficiency, cryptographic security, interoperability, and extensibility.
This project deals with the implementation of the Secure Sockets Layer protocol. Here we are mainly concerned with the implementation of the client and server entities and the SSL transaction between them. This transaction comprises of the authentication, key exchange and bulk data transfer. Our implementation guarantees secure and reliable communication (message exchange) and data transfer (files) between the two entities.

This project is aimed to manage the export activities of the organization, which exports different kind of goods to their customers across the globe. The application should provide customers to order for the goods from any part of the world. Customers are registered organizations or firms in their countries. Every new customer has to register as a user to the site. The application should provide the different levels of authentication. The goods can be sent to the customers by any means e.g. by air, road etc. The Proforma Invoice and Documents Delivery Details should also be maintained by the application.

The project has been planned to be having the view of distributed architecture, with centralized storage of the database. The application for the storage of the data has been planned. Using the constructs of Oracle and all the user interfaces has been designed using the java Script technologies. The database connectivity is planned using the “SQL Connection” methodology. The standards of security and data protective mechanism have been given a big choice for proper usage. The application takes care of different modules and their associated reports which are produced as per the applicable strategies and standards that are put forwarded by the administrative staff.

Abstract

The abstract is to be in fully-justified italicized text, at the top of the left-hand column as it is here, below the author information. Use the word “Abstract” as the title, in 12-point Times, boldface type, centered relative to the column, initially capitalized. The abstract is to be in 10-point, single-spaced type, and may be up to 3 in. (7.62 cm) long. Leave two blank lines after the abstract, then begin the main text. All manuscripts must be in English.

1. Introduction

These guidelines include complete descriptions of the fonts, spacing, and related information for producing your proceedings manuscripts.
A zip-file of this sample manuscript is also available (http://mecha.ee.boun.edu.tr/word2.zip), which you can use as a template to prepare your paper.
Please note that your paper should normally be limited to six pages. A maximum of two additional pages can be used subject to a charge of $100/page.

2. Formatting your paper

All printed material, including text, illustrations, and charts, must be kept within a print area of 6-7/8 inches (17.5 cm) wide by 8-7/8 inches (22.54 cm) high. Do not write or print anything outside the print area. All text must be in a two-column format. Columns are to be 3-1/4 inches (8.25 cm) wide, with a 5/16 inch (0.8 cm) space between them. Text must be fully justified.

3. Main title

The main title (on the first page) should begin 1-3/8 inches (3.49 cm) from the top edge of the page, centered, and in Times 14-point, boldface type. Capitalize the first letter of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs; do not capitalize articles, coordinate conjunctions, or prepositions (unless the title begins with such a word). Leave two blank lines after the title.

4. Author name(s) and affiliation(s)

Author names and affiliations are to be centered beneath the title and printed in Times 12-point, non-boldface type. Multiple authors may be shown in a two- or three-column format, with their affiliations below their respective names. Affiliations are centered below each author name, italicized, not bold. Include e-mail addresses if possible. Follow the author information by two blank lines before main text.

5. Second and following pages

The second and following pages should begin 1.0 inch (2.54 cm) from the top edge. On all pages, the bottom margin should be 1-1/8 inches (2.86 cm) from the bottom edge of the page for 8.5 x 11-inch paper; for A4 paper, approximately 1-5/8 inches (4.13 cm) from the bottom edge of the page.

6. Type-style and fonts

Wherever Times is specified, Times Roman, or New Times Roman may be used. If neither is available on your word processor, please use the font closest in appearance to Times that you have access to. Please avoid using bit-mapped fonts if possible. True-Type 1 fonts are preferred.

7. Main text

Type your main text in 10-point Times, single-spaced. Do not use double-spacing. All paragraphs should be indented 1 pica (approximately 1/6- or 0.17-inch or 0.422 cm). Be sure your text is fully justified—that is, flush left and flush right. Please do not place any additional blank lines between paragraphs.
Figure and table captions should be 10-point Helvetica (or a similar sans-serif font), boldface. Callouts should be 9-point Helvetica, non-boldface. Initially capitalize only the first word of each figure caption and table title. Figures and tables must be numbered separately. For example: “Figure 1. Database contexts”, “Table 1. Input data”. Figure captions are to be below the figures. Table titles are to be centered above the tables.

8. First-order headings

For example, “1. Introduction”, should be Times 12-point boldface, initially capitalized, flush left, with one blank line before, and one blank line after. Use a period (“.”) after the heading number, not a colon.

8.1. Second-order headings

As in this heading, they should be Times 11-point boldface, initially capitalized, flush left, with one blank line before, and one after.

8.1.1. Third-order headings. Third-order headings, as in this paragraph, are discouraged. However, if you must use them, use 10-point Times, boldface, initially capitalized, flush left, preceded by one blank line, followed by a period and your text on the same line.

9. Printing your paper

Print your properly-formatted text on high-quality, 8.5 x 11-inch white printer paper. A4 paper is also acceptable, but please leave the extra 0.5 inch (1.27 cm) at the BOTTOM of the page. If the last page of your paper is only partially filled, arrange the columns so that they are evenly balanced if possible, rather than having one long column.

10. Page numbering

Number your pages lightly, in pencil, on the upper right-hand corners of the BACKS of the pages (for example, 1/6, 2/6; or 1 of 6, 2 of 6; and so forth). Please do NOT write on the fronts of the pages, nor on the lower halves of the backs of the pages. Do not automatically paginate your pages. Note that unnumbered pages that get out of order can be very difficult to put back in order!

11. Illustrations, graphs, and photographs

All graphics should be centered. Your artwork must be in place in the article (preferably printed as part of the text rather than pasted up). If you are using photographs and are able to have halftones made at a print shop, use a 100- or 110-line screen. If you must use photos, they must be pasted onto your manuscript. Use rubber cement to affix the halftones or photos in place. Black and white, clear, glossy-finish photos are preferable to color. Supply the best quality photographs and illustrations possible. Penciled lines and very fine lines do not reproduce well. Remember, the quality of the book cannot be better than the originals provided. Do not use tape on your pages!

11.1. Color images in proceedings

The use of color on interior pages (that is, pages other than the cover of the proceedings) is prohibitively expensive. Interior pages may be published in color only when it is specifically requested and budgeted for by the authors. DO NOT SUBMIT COLOR IMAGES IN YOUR PAPER UNLESS SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED TO DO SO.

11.2. Symbols

If your word processor or typewriter cannot produce Greek letters, mathematical symbols, or other graphical elements, please use pressure-sensitive (self-adhesive) rub-on symbols or letters (available in most stationery stores, art stores, or graphics shops).

11.3. Footnotes

Use footnotes sparingly (or not at all!) and place them at the bottom of the column on the page on which they are referenced. Use Times 8-point type, single-spaced. To help your readers, avoid using footnotes altogether and include necessary peripheral observations in the text (within parentheses, if you prefer, as in this sentence).

12. References

List and number all bibliographical references in 9-point Times, single-spaced, at the end of your paper. When referenced in the text, enclose the citation number in square brackets, for example [1]. Where appropriate, include the name(s) of editors of referenced books.

Description: The first idea of writing a packet sniffer program came from a reply to my comments on one of the projects named "NetSend ( Sending popup messenger messages between computers )" by Marc Clifton. Marc asked me "What about receiving message". To say the truth, I didn't know how I could do that. I knew a program which I had downloaded and tested years ago. But I didn't know the way of it. So I made a search on net about programs that can receive messages created by NetSend. And I noticed that many of them were using packet sniffer libraries. And then decided to learn how it is done. My search attempts gave a result and I found a free library named WinPCap.

After previewing the WinPCap source code , my first trial was to write a wrapper class for it. But what I did was not what I expected. And I had no control over the code. So I decided to port the base library of WinPCap named PacketNt.dll to C#. After many weeks and debug trials, I finished it. And then I wrote a new class to make capture process easy. And all these happen, a new class was created, Function. Yes, now I could catch packets from the network card but I wasn't able to display them. Because I had no idea what they meant. My next search was to find a program with free source code that can display packets. Yes, yes, as you guess, I found it. Its name is Etheral. It is really a great program and free.

First I traced the packets captured by Etheral and built some protocols and was able to display them in my test program. The design, implementation strategy and parametric specification phases for the development of this software were completed, and the prototype tested. The application will also support the sequence and command generation process and will allow testing and verification of camera pointing commands via simulation.

Recently, statistical modeling tool such as artificial neural network (ANN) is increasingly used as an alternative tool for modeling the pollutants from vehicular traffic particularly in urban areas. In the present paper, a review of the applications of ANN in vehicular pollution modeling under urban condition and basic features of ANN and modeling philosophy, including performance evaluation criteria for ANN based vehicular emission models have been described.

Energy-efficient processor design is becoming more and more important with technology scaling and with high performance requirements. Supply-voltage scaling is an efficient way to reduce energy by lowering the operating voltage and the clock frequency of processor simultaneously. We propose a variable supply-voltage (VSV) scaling technique based on the following key observation: upon an L2 miss, the pipeline performs some independent computations but almost always ends up stalling and waiting for data, despite out-of-order issue and other latency-hiding techniques. Therefore, during an L2 miss we scale down the supply voltage of certain sections of the processor in order to reduce power dissipation while it carries on the independent computations at a lower speed. However, operating at a lower speed may degrade performance, if there are sufficient independent computations to overlap with the L2 miss. Similarly, returning to high speed may degrade power savings, if there are multiple outstanding misses and insufficient independent computations to overlap with them. To avoid these problems, we introduce two state machines that track parallelism on-the-fly, and we scale the supply voltage depending on the level of parallelism. We also consider circuit-level complexity concerns which limit VSV to two supply voltages, stability and signal-propagation speed issues which limit how fast VSV may transition between the voltages, and energy overhead factors which disallow supply-voltage scaling of large RAM structures such as caches and register file. Our simulations show that VSV achieves an average of 7.7% total processor power reduction with 0.9% performance degradation in an eight-way, out-of-order-issue processor that implements deterministic clock gating and software prefetching, across all the SPEC2K benchmarks. For those benchmarks that have high L2 miss rates (more than 4 misses per 1000 instructions), VSV achieves 23.0% reduction in total processor power with 2.0% performance degradation on average.

A tsunami warning system (TWS) is a system to detect tsunamis and issue warnings to prevent loss of life and property. It consists of two equally important components: a network of sensors to detect tsunamis and a communications infrastructure to issue timely alarms to permit evacuation of coastal areas.

There are two distinct types of tsunami warning systems: international and regional. Both depend on the fact that, while tsunamis travel at between 500 and 1,000 km/h (around 0.14 and 0.28 km/s) in open water, earthquakes can be detected almost at once as seismic waves travel with a typical speed of 4 km/s (around 14,400 km/h). This gives time for a possible tsunami forecast to be made and warnings to be issued to threatened areas, if warranted. Unfortunately, until a reliable model is able to predict which earthquakes will produce significant tsunamis, this approach will produce many more false alarms than verified warnings. In the currect operational paradigm, the seismic alerts are used to send out the watches and warnings. Then, data from observed sea level height (either shore-based tide gauges or DART buoys) are used to verify the existence of a tsunami.

Other systems have been proposed to augment the warning paradigm. For example, it has been suggested that the duration and frequency content of t-wave energy (which is earthquake energy trapped in the ocean SOFAR channel) is indicative of an earthquakes tsunami potential.[1] The first rudimentary system to alert communities of an impending tsunami was attempted in Hawaii in the 1920s. More advanced systems were developed in the wake of the April 1, 1946 (caused by the 1946 Aleutian Islands earthquake) and May 23, 1960 (caused by the 1960 Valdivia earthquake) tsunamis which caused massive devastation in Hilo, Hawaii.

* An Oscillator is used to generate a suitably bright sound. This is routed through a Filter.
* A Filter is used to cut-off or cut-down the brightness to something more suitable. This resultant sound is routed to an Amplifier.
* An Amplifier is used to control the loudness of the sound over a period of time so as to emulate a natural instrument.

In essence, this is subtractive synthesis. You start with a sound, subtract out the unwanted bits and control its loudness over time.

Oscillators and Waveforms
OSCILLATORS - An Oscillator generates a sound. It actually generates a waveform or a shape. The oscillator does this continuously. The rate at which it generates each cycle of the waveform is what we hear as pitch. Pitch is measured in Hertz (Hz) [where one Hertz is one cycle per second].

There are many types of oscillators but the main "Oscillator" usually refers to a "Keyboard-Controlled Oscillator". On a synthesizer, the Keyboard-Controlled Oscillator may be labled as VCO, DCO, or sometimes as Waveform.

All this means is that when you play a note on the keyboard, the oscillator will generate the waveform (or shape) at that intended pitch continuously (for as long as you hold down that note on the keyboard). If you pressed "A4" (the note "A" just above middle "C"), the waveform will be generated at a rate of 440Hz (ie 440 cycles a second). In short, the keyboard controls the pitch of the oscillator (hence, keyboard controlled oscillator) .

A Waveform (or Wave) is a shape which the oscillator generates. The shape determines the "timbre" or quality, characteristic or brightness of a sound. While pitch tells us which note is being played, "timbre" tells us which instrument is being played. While pitch is a basic frequency which identifys the note, "timbre" is made up of many other frequencies or overtones which gives the instrument its overall character and identity.

WAVE CONCEPTS - The basic set of waveforms covered by this document are simple mathematical shapes which are found on analogue synthesizers. The first waveform to look at is the "Sine" wave. Although it is not always available on analogue synthesizers, it is the starting point to understanding waveforms and their "harmonic content" (ie timbre).

In synchronous CDMA system, the orthogonal spreading sequences are employed to reduce the multiple access interference. However, as the frequency selectivity of the propagation channel strengthens, the orthogonality among different users tends to diminish because of increasing inter-path interference. In this paper, various binary and nonbinary orthogonal sequences are discussed. In order to Inaintain the orthogonality among different users, a new concept of generalized orthogonality is defined and the corresponding sequences are presented, including binary, quadriphase and nonbinary code sequences. Based on a simplified synchronous CDMA system model, the related system performance is also analyzed and compared for different orthogonal and generalized orthogonal spreading sequences. Our analytical and simulation results show that the generalized orthogonal code sequences are indeed more robust in the multipath propagation channels, compared with the traditional orthogonal code sequences.

This paper introduces two new techniques for speech compression using wavelet transforms (WT). The first technique, zero wavelet transform (ZWT), eliminates the high frequency coefficients of the wavelet decomposition with energy values below a certain threshold level. The second technique, average zero wavelet transform (AZWT), in addition to fulfilling the goal of the first technique, averages the approximate coefficients of the wavelet decomposition. These coefficients are almost constant at higher decomposition levels of the transform. The wavelet coefficients are then quantized using Lloyd's algorithm and coded using the entropy coding technique before being transmitted. At the receiver end, the received signal is decoded and dequantized before being processed.

The first urine-activated laminated paper batteries have been demonstrated and reported in this paper. A simple and cheap fabrication process for the paper batteries has been developed which is compatible with the existing plastic laminating technologies or plastic molding technologies. In this battery, a magnesium (Mg) layer and copper chloride (CuCl) in the filter paper are used as the anode and the cathode, respectively. A stack consisting of a Mg layer, CuCl-doped filter paper and a copper (Cu) layer sandwiched between two plastic layers is laminated into the paper batteries by passing through the heating roller at 120 °C. The paper battery is tested and it can deliver a power greater than 1.5 mW. In addition, these urine-activated laminated paper batteries could be integrated with bioMEMS devices such as home-based health test kits providing a power source for the electronic circuit.

The early cable based Pay-TV networks used no security. This led to problems with people connecting to the network without bothering to pay. Consequently, some methods were developed to frustrate these self-connectors. The early Pay-TV systems for cable television were based on a number of simple measures. The most common of these was a channel based filter that would effectively stop the channel being received by those who had not subscribed. These filters would be added or removed according to the subscription. As the number of television channels on these cable networks grew, the filter based approach became increasingly impractical.

Other techniques such as adding an interfering signal to the video or audio began to be used as the simple filter solutions were easily bypassed. As the technology evolved, addressable set top boxes became common and more complex scrambling techniques such as digital encryption of the audio or video cut and rotate (where a line of video is cut at a particular point and the two parts are then reordered around this point) were applied to signals.

Encryption was used to protect satellite distributed feeds for cable television networks. Some of the systems used for cable feed distribution were expensive. As the DTH market grew, less secure systems began to be used. Many of these systems (such as OAK Orion) were variants of cable television scrambling systems that affected the synchronisation part of the video, inverted the video signal or added an interfering frequency to the video. All of these analogue scrambling techniques were easily defeated.

Scientists from the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory and the University of Florida have uncovered information that may help "molecular wires" replace silicon in micro-electronic circuits and/or components in solar energy storage systems. The scientists were studying how electric charge is distributed in polymer molecule chains that are several nanometers, or billionths of a meter, in length.

"Long molecules that can act as molecular wires, of which there are many variations, are one type of nanoscale object with the potential to lead to new technologies, due to their ability to conduct electricity and very small size," said Miller. "But unlike conventional metal wires, polymer nanowires need assistance in order to conduct."

"Using a cluster of high-energy electrons from an accelerator, we can quickly add an extra negative or positive charge to a polymer molecular wire. When the end of the wire contains a chemically-attached 'trap' molecule, one where the electrons will be at a lower, more stable energy, the charge moves to it. This allows us to 'see' that the wires conduct electrons quickly, and over long distances."

One potential application for this finding is in the solar energy industry, particularly in a new field called "plastic solar." In conventional solar cells, incoming solar energy is transferred to the electrons in a semiconducting material, such as silicon, which knocks many of them loose. These electrons are guided to an electrode, creating a current that can be drawn off and used.

The plastic solar movement aims to replace materials like silicon with polymer nanowires, which are cheaper and lighter. Another advantage of plastic solar cells is their physical versatility. Due to the flexible, bendable nature of polymer materials, plastic solar cells could be placed in areas of greatly varying size and surface type. Conventional cells are rigid and costly, and the current production method limits their size.

This application is designed for such an environment where the work is divided into group of employees and during the course of division the employees are selected to be part of the work in hand.

This software being a web based is easily accessible from any corner of the company as every machine is part of a LAN network. The reason why it is made as a web application rather than a window based application it for the same reason. The complete task is divided into two types of users - Administrator (Highest authority) and Team member (working group Community). The activities underlying these two sections are as per the company policies.

Chess Game code included [Project]

This project implements a classic version of Chess with a Graphical User Interface. The Chess game follows the basic rules of chess, and all the chess pieces only move according to valid moves for that piece. Our implementation of Chess is for two players (no Artificial Intelligence). It is played on an 8x8 checkered board, with a dark square in each player’s lower left corner. Initially developing a text-based version, we then used .NET forms to implemented it in a GUI. Although we were not able to design a working artificial intelligence for the chess game in the time allowed, we researched the past implementations. We successfully created a GUI using inheritance and templates, as specified. Despite several unusual bugs in the GUI, our Chess program is a great, user-friendly game for two players.

MObile data security [PPT]

Chief information officers are increasingly concerned about the loss of vital company data held on mobile devices, but very few have the systems in place to either control or track that data.

Market research company colman reported 78 percent of respondents were concerned about data security yet found 88 percent of organisations do not track all the information that is kept on mobile devices.

This failure could leave them vulnerable under data protection and other compliance legislation in the event of the loss or theft of mobile devices.

The survey, of 200 CIOs in the UK, US and Europe found that 6 percent reported that mobile loss or misuse had led to sensitive company data being leaked. In the U.K. the figure was higher, with 10 percent of organisations admitted the loss of sensitive data.

Systems and methods for mitigating multipath signals in a receiver are provided. In this regard, a representative system, among others, includes a receiver comprising an antenna being configured to receive signals from a plurality of satellites, and a computing device being configured to: generate pseudorange measurements based on the received satellites signals, process the generated pseudorange measurements to reduce its pseudorange residuals based on statistical modeling in order to mitigate multipath errors, and compute navigation solutions based on the processed pseudorange measurements. One biomedical device can communicate with multiple wireless bio devices controlled via a network of interrogator devices that are forming a network of sensors or a wireless instrumentation network.

Desirable functions for sensor nodes include: ease of installation, self identification, self diagnosis, reliability, time awareness for coordination with other nodes, some software functions and DSP, and standard control protocols and network interfaces.

The measured biological/physiological parameters are transferred through different medium types between two locations, including air, space, water, and biologic tissue (blood, fat, bone, etc.), by using a variety of modulated energy forms like electromagnetic waves, light, and ultrasound. The measured biological/physiological parameters are transferred by a transmitter carried on a belt or in a pocket when the device is placed on the body, and by an in vivo transmitter device when the biomedical electronics device is swallowed or surgically implanted in a subject/patient.

A key Defence election commitment for this Government is focused on carefully planning for Australia's next generation of submarine,'' Mr Fitzgibbon said.

The development and purchase of new submarines will be Australia's largest, lengthiest and costliest defence acquisition since Federation, its total expected expense being more than $25 billion.

Mr Fitzgibbon announced the study while inspecting the submarine support and training facilities at the navy's Fleet Base West at HMAS Stirling in Western Australia.

The study will be managed by a project office operating under the joint supervision of the Defence Department's capability development group and the Defence Materiel Organisation.

Electronic Nose [PPT]

The electronic nose consists of two components, (1) an array of chemical sensors (usually gas sensors) and (2) a pattern-recognition algorithm. The sensor array "sniffs" the vapors from a sample and provides a set of measurements; the pattern-recognizer compares the pattern of the measurements to stored patterns for known materials. Gas sensors tend to have very broad selectivity, responding to many different substances. This is a disadvantage in most applications, but in the electronic nose, it is a definite advantage. Although every sensor in an array may respond to a given chemical, these responses will usually be different. Figure 1 shows sets of responses of a typical sensor array to different pure chemicals:

Denial of Service attacks - Real vunerabilities [PPT]

Even though this isn't new, there was an advisory released a couple of days ago by Core Impact (via Matasano). The vulnerability was in the handling of IPv6 packets in OpenBSD. This vulnerabilitity brings the discussion about the severity of denial of service (DoS) vulnerabilities into the light again. OpenBSD no longer considers remote denial of service "issues" vulnerabilities anymore. They believe that these vulnerabilities are not at severe as others that allow for the remote control of a server, so they differentiate between them.

My first instinct was to poke fun at OpenBSD as many others have done. However, I've decided not to here. I'm going to step back for a bit and try to look at it from their point of view.
